If you’re not watching Odd Mom Out on Bravo, you’re seriously missing out. It’s the funniest sitcom I’ve seen in a long, long time. It’s about a woman who grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and stayed there after she got married and had kids. She’s now surrounded by super-rich and obnoxious friends and relatives and is torn between trying to fit in with them and struggling to be herself.
OK, that was a really boring assessment of a show that calls anal sex “French third base” and spent an entire episode ragging on my area of Brooklyn.
We were lucky enough to have two of the creative people behind the show on our show last week, and for the first time ever, we spent the entire podcast on one topic. That’s right, it was all Odd Mom Out. And it was awesome! You can listen right here:
Parenting Bytes, Episode 28: Odd Mom Out
I Will Always Write Back, by Caitlin Alifirenka, Martin Ganda, and Liz Welch
The Neopolitan Novels, by Elena Ferrante, translated by Ann Goldstein
