These and other questions were adapted from a questionnaire used to diagnose compulsive gambling. I can definitely see the similarities between the two activities.
Personally, I love to gamble. I can sit my butt at a blackjack table for hours. I’d much rather be gambling than texting. Then again, I’m not a fifteen-year-old girl.
This week, Rebecca, Andrea, and I were finally all in the studio together to record our latest episode of Parenting Bytes, and we talked about kids who are addicted to texting. We also discussed mobile etiquette in general, prompted by a Pew Research poll.
