I’ve been working with Citizen Watch this year and it’s been fantastic! I’ve attended events at their flagship store and written a ton of articles for their blog, and last week was invited to a party for the opening of their new offices. Not only did I go, I wore makeup!
I also wore my gorgeous new Citizen watch, a gift from Citizen after I attended their satellite event, which was fascinating. I wanted something a little fancier and dressier than my current Citizen watches, and I am totally in love with this bracelet-style watch!
The guests of honor at the party were two of the Citizen Watch ambassadors, Kelly Clarkson and Eli Manning. It was a big party, so I wasn’t expecting to really see either one of them. I figured they would both be surrounded by…Entourages? Handlers? Body guards? Cheerleaders? I don’t know.
But it wasn’t like that at all! In fact, I ran into Kelly Clarkson in a hallway a few minutes after I walked into the party. She complimented my phone case and I asked her if we could take a picture.
She’s quite possibly the sweetest person I’ve ever met. She spent the entire party chatting with fans and taking pictures. If you didn’t know who she was, you wouldn’t have known who she was. She seems completely and totally unaffected by fame.
Later on in the party someone asked if I’d like to meet Eli. “Eli who?” I responded like a moron. I know that he’s a Citizen Ambassador. I know that he’s a football player. But keep in mind, I didn’t know who would be at the party, and I had a total brain fart. I guarantee you I was the only person at the party who said “Eli who?”
But he was also super sweet. And super tall!! Holy cow.
He also did tons of interviews and pictures and just seemed so…normal! It was so refreshing.
The offices themselves were gorgeous – made me want to work there, just so that I could hold meetings around this incredible table!
There’s also a showroom, like a little store in the office.
So many great styles to choose from – something for everybody!
During the event Citizen presented the March of Dimes with a big donation:
All in all, a really fun night. I mean, I hate leaving my house, especially in the evening when I just want to be curled up on the couch in pjs. But this was totally worth it! I love these people.
