Another blogger on the SV Moms Group that I write for (I’m on the NYC Moms Blog, natch) just sent me this video, about how much women fixate on being thin. I’m very happy to say that I don’t say any of that stuff around my kids. If they see me exercising and ask me why, I say I want to be healthier. If they see me eating a big plate of veggies and ask me why, I tell them because they taste good and are good for me. Which is true, I only eat vegetables that I love. All of it is true. But of course it’s not the primary reason. It IS to lose weight. So now I have to work on not saying that stuff to myself.
