I was thrilled when I was sent a few bags of Cape Cod® Potato Chips to help with this post, which is sponsored by Cape Cod, because whenever I’m grabbing a sandwich at a deli for lunch, a small bag of Cape Cod Kettle Cooked Sea Salt & Vinegar are my go-to choice. I scan the chip racks for it as soon as I walk into the store. Since I was already a fan of their super-crunchy, small-batch chips, I was happy to try a couple of flavors I’d never had before. I’ve had the original flavor lots of times, and we dug into those right away.
But the Sea Salt Waffle Cut chips were totally new to me, as were the Reduced-Fat Original. Which, by the way, do not taste reduced in any way – especially not flavor or crunch . I put them out at a BBQ I had yesterday, and everybody ate them; there’s no other reduced fat chip I would do that with.
My sister and nephew came into town yesterday from San Francisco. My nephew immediately bonded with my husband and daughter, giving them full-speed running hugs and high fives and fist bumps. He likes me, but I wasn’t getting any running hugs!! So I did what I usually do when I want someone to like me: I went to his heart through his stomach. I called him over and gave him some chips! With all-natural ingredients and no preservatives, I knew my sister wouldn’t mind.
I made sure he knew that his aunt had supplied the chips. I was definitely getting some special smiles after that. He loved the Waffle Cut Chips! Actually the whole party did. I saw several people dipping them in my the guacamole!
When I opened my bags of chips I was rewarded with delicious potato chips, but you could find something else in your Cape Cod Potato Chips bag this summer: $5,000! Twelve bags of Cape Cod Original, Reduced Fat, and Sea Salt Waffle Cut Chips have winning vouchers inside for $5,000 in cash. Look for bags marked “Ridiculously Good Bags of Cash.” Pick up a few extra bags for your next BBQ or picnic because one of those could be a winner!!
And if you’re not on the East Coast (home of Cape Cod Potato Chips), don’t worry: They’re available now in 60% of stores in the west, so try Cape Cod Potato Chips, now available from your local grocer.
All prizes must be claimed by September 30th, 2015. You can get complete rules and details for the promotion here. Good luck!
