With so many women wearing the wrong size bra, I’m glad somebody finally found a high-tech solution to bra fitting problems!
I’m at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and I was not supposed to be in my room right now writing. But considering I just bought something that I saw last night, I figured it was worth a post—especially since it’s available at an amazing price for a limited time!
Finding a bra that fits right can be really hard. When you walk into a store you just don’t know if the person measuring you knows what she’s doing. Personally I prefer to shop online, so whenever I gain or lose weight I have to start all over again finding my size, sending bras back until I find the right one. Bra fitting problems can get expensive and waste a lot of time.
But Soma has come up with something that they claim will solve the problem, called the SomaInnofit. It looks like a sports bra, but it has a battery pack in the back and measuring bands all around it. It’s super-stretchy and can fit on a wide range of people, from 32A to 44G. You’re supposed to put it on over what you think is your best-fitting bra, and it measures you! The free app that connects to the bra is available for iPhone and Android.
And while you can take that size info and go buy a bra anywhere, the app will then give you some choices of bras in your size.
The SomaInnofit is good for hundreds of fittings, and it isn’t tied to any one account. So you can share it with family members or friends, with each person downloading the free app and measuring themselves, or you could even have a bra-fitting party!
Personally, I’ve changed bra sizes twice in the past year, so this would have come in very handy.
Just be aware, the measuring bra can’t be washed. But it’s only meant to be worn for a few minutes while it’s measuring you. Put it on clean skin and it should be fine.
It just went on sale this morning for a special introductory price of $25 (the regular price will be $59, but they don’t know how long the introductory price is going to last). And the best part is, they’ll give you $25 off of a future full-price bra purchase. So except for shipping, you’ll basically be getting the SomaInnofit for free! (And if you’re a member of FreeShipping.com like I am, you’ll not only get your shipping for free, but you’ll get 10% cash back!)
Of course, as cool as this sounds, I haven’t actually used it yet. But as soon as I’m able to test mine out, I’ll report back. If this thing actually works, it’s going to be revolutionary!Does your bra fit right, or do you have trouble finding the right size?
