About Amy

Hi there, I'm Amy, founder of Amy Ever After. I've been blogging since 2006, first on a local real estate blog, then on my first successful site, Filming In Brooklyn, then on a parenting and lifestyle blog I founded called Selfish Mom (that's my original header up there!).
During my parenting blogger days I was quoted on numerous news sites, including the New York Times, CNN, ABC News, and MSNBC. I appeared on The Today Show, the WPIX Morning Show, Katie Couric's talkshow, and HuffPost Live, among others (you can see some of them on my media page). As a pioneer parenting blogger and social media influencer (long before that term was a thing), Time Out New York Kids named me a Blogger to Watch, Working Mother named me one of the fifteen most powerful moms in social media, and I was named Funniest Mom on Twitter by Babble.com.
While doing all of that I co-hosted two successful podcasts (one about blogging and one about parenting), built a thriving freelance career (writing for sites like Tom's Guide, Laptop Magazine, Redbook, Motto, Garnet News, and NJ Family), and got into baking and cooking in a really big way. Eventually, my love of food transformed my parenting and lifestyle site into more of a food and recipe blog, and I renamed it Amy Every After. I've gotten rid of most of the old non-food content, but I do occasionally write about things that interest me that have nothing to do with food.
Disclosure:
While I built my blogging career working with companies I love, I no longer accept free products or get paid by brands to post, and those posts no longer exist on this site.
If I recommend a product or service, you can be assured that I'm an actual customer, and paid for it myself. I link to a lot of those products, and if you purchase something through my links, I may make a commission. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
