Video, TV, and Public Speaking
I love public speaking and have presented on a wide range of topics, such as Working with Brands, Kids and Facebook, and How To Start a Podcast. I’m available for conferences, interviews, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, TV appearances, brand meetings, trade shows, satellite media tours, and seminars. Check out a few of my appearances:
WPIX in NYC had me on their morning show to talk about why you should never punish your children publicly on Facebook.
Mom TV sent me to the Cooking & Entertaining Editors Showcase to interview brand reps for a variety of foods and consumer products.
Hallmark hired me to do a series of sponsored videos about holiday gifts, including this one.
And more than once, I’ve even gotten to interview muppets on Sesame Street! (Or was Grover interviewing me??)
I’ve been quoted on dozens of websites about everything from letting kids fly alone, to kids and tech, to being a professional blogger, to how to talk to kids about terrorism. Here’s a sampling:
Huffington Post asked me how I told my daughter about the Boston Marathon Bombing
CNN.com interviewed me about how I handle my kids’ screen time.
The New York Times Magazine & Motherlode blogger Lisa Belkin included me in an article about Mom Bloggers.
ABCNews.com talked to me about my fit, healthy 8-year-old being labeled obese by his school.
NYTimes.com wrote about one of my blog posts (and I was dissected in the comments section – fun!).
NYTimes.com quoted me again, this time about lying to my children.
It’s Working Project interviewed me about working from home as a blogger.
babycenter.com quoted me on simple ways to make your child feel special.
babycenter.com also quoted me about avoiding new mom comparison traps.
